We are launching our 2016 Activities Wishlist Survey.
This is a great opportunity for YOU to tell us what you would like to do, learn, and see happen at the Centre. It will only take a few minutes - we promise :). The information we receive from the survey will help us understand our community, and allow us to bring new services to the Centre, and to secure the funding that keeps the Centre open.
UPDATE: This survey has been extended and will run until 31 October. While the survey is open, please take advantage of it and provide your feedback straight into the survey. This ensures that the your suggestions are recorded, and that the information will reach us. (The survey only takes about 2-3 minutes, and it collects the data for us automatically). Thank you.

Some kind of indoor event in the winter months or school holidays, maybe in conjunction with the toy library where you can bring the kids for a big run around in a big warm space indoors. There really is no where to go to entertain the kids in the Wairarapa that is free and inside for the winter. We could get an inflatable swimming pool full of balls for a ball pit! I know there is the toddler gym, music group and plummet playgroup. But the kids can get sick of those when they do them all year, plus they are all lacking in space! And none are on in the holidays. The fire service also as an inflatable bouncy obstacle course – blow that thing up inside and fill it full of balls!
But yes it’s an idea for winter at least..
Hi Karen,
Thank you for your suggestions. We have made a note of them. I will share your suggestions with some relevant service providers and organisations including the Toy Library, the Featherston Library and the Connecting Communities Wairarapa who has done some School holiday programmes during two previous school holidays, and maybe a suitable programme can be put together. While the Centre is not a service provider, we would certainly be happy for the Centre to be used as a facility for school holiday programmes.
Kind Regards,
Siv

Hi My name is Alison and am interested in doing a First Aid Course. The Couse is with Kiwi First Aid and require 12 participants for the programme to undertake in Featherston
in the New Year. Would be interested in having the opportunity of doing a course which is NZQA recognised. The contact person direct is David Craig on 0275171906 and is sending me flyers to distribute. Where the venue can be held am not sure what is available for such a program. My contact number is 063089845 The course costs $140.00 per person and would be an asset to Featherston Community residents. Thanking you
Alison
Hi Alison,
thank you for your message. Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Kiwi First Aid booked the course with us, but unfortunately there were not sufficient participants at the time. We would be thrilled to have Kiwi First Aid do this course in Featherston, and we have also been approached by Red Cross who are keen to offer several courses at the Centre this year. We will post any First Aid courses facilitated at the Centre on the Centre facebook, and also ensure that anyone who has contacted us say they are interested are contacted by us or the provider. Thanks 🙂 (Siv)
