It’s time for the fifth annual Featherston Art Sale!
The Featherston Art Sale is an annual gala exhibition and fundraiser for the Featherston Community Centre. This year it will be held at the Community Centre at 14 Wakefield Street on 7-10 May. It’s an exciting event, full of inspiring art pieces available to buy, all made by Wairarapa artists.
Everyone is invited to come to the opening night celebration from 6pm on Thursday 7 May at the Featherston Community Centre. Tickets for the opening are $10 at the door (free for youth under 16). Ticket holders can meet the artists, and get an early look at the exhibition.
As part of the Featherston Booktown weekend, the Featherston Art Sale is a fabulous showcase of Wairarapa talent, from established professional artists to first-time exhibitors. Drawings, paintings, sculptures and pottery, for sale on a “cash & carry” basis from $50 to $2000, will satisfy all budgets.
The Community Centre is a non-profit organisation. At least 30% of all sales will help keep the centre open so it can keep hosting clubs, social services, community classes, and more.
